Indie Midlands Review of Save Me

Indie Midlands Review of Save Me

Musically ‘Save Me’ reminds me of 80’s acts like the late Kirsty Maccoll and to a degree Voice Of The Beehive. All be it with a fuzzier guitar sound. The vocals are pure and suit the song well. Lyrically it’s nice when a song has a genuine message – “Words for me fall on deaf ears when I’m miles ahead, Let me take you back. History repeats itself.” sings vocalist Michelle Opthof. “You cannot save them all” she reflects on the fact you need to sometimes accept you can’t do everything and no matter how hard you try some people just can’t be saved.
